During Rodeo, we bring out big wheels, little wheels, tricycles, kettle cars, and various other appropriate riding toys so that children can work on their gross motor skills as they zoom around under our picnic shelter. All classes participate in Rodeo once a week. Parents can choose to leave a helmet at school or send one in with their child each week.
Music and Movement
Music and Movement incorporates song, rhythm and motion to foster language development, boost spatial reasoning skills, and build gross and fine motor skills. Our music teacher provides musical instruments & props to enhance the program. All classes participate in Music and Movement once a week. In December, our Threes, Fours and TPK classes participate in a fun Holiday Sing-A-Long which families are invited to attend.
Twice per month, our Threes, Fours and TPK classes attend Gathering Time with the Children’s Director at Epworth United Methodist Church. Age-appropriate songs, finger-plays, and stories are shared during Gathering Time to foster the children’s spiritual and character growth. Epworth Preschool welcomes children and families of all faiths and religious beliefs.
